Very poor communication on behalf of Metro OBGYN lead to unpleasant delivery process, with a completely different doctor. My doctor had been gone for weeks, they continued to lie to me leading up to my due date, “on vacation/ on call/ out of office”. So disheartening for a FTM. Thankful the nursing staff at CHI Mercy Hospital, they were AMAZING.
Dr. Sotolongo has been my Dr for years. However, when a time came when I needed direction his staff was not helpful and not knowledgeable. I wonder if the Dr even knows what's going on? Nurse Kim just wants to pass the blame on to someone else. When confronted, her answer was to have me move my medical records to another dr. Well, Kim, that's what I'll do. I started going to this clinic in January 2019, I had a few follow ups and ultimately decided to have a procedure done in May. I came back two weeks after the procedure and everything was normal and was told to come back in a month for a second post op. I show up to my 3:20pm appointment and was asked if there were any complications with my procedure that they needed to know about, I said no. Dr. Sotolongo and his team are great. We usually have to wait a while to be seen which is the only negative thing I could say but it's to be expected with such a busy team!
My appointment was for 10:20 am and mind you I have children in school and it’s 12:18pm and I’m still waiting
The wait times for an appointment are ridiculous. I just left today after 6 1/2 years of being a patient. At 2:45 I was finally called in for my 2:00 appointment. They couldn't possibly get me out by 3, so I'm finding a new doctor. This was an appointment with a PA and there were 2 other people in the waiting room. When I was pregnant and wanted to see an actual doctor there were times I actually waited over 3 hours. I'm done letting them waste my time.
Dr Ferrer is amazing but the rude receptionists and lack of communication during excessive wait time (3 hours) is unacceptable.
