Had a partial hysterectomy done here. Every single staff member we encountered were amazing. Dr. Lown was my surgeon and he did a fantastic job. His bedside manner is wonderful. He checks in on his patients and listens! All the nurses from pre op to post op and discharge were absolutely wonderful. I was very sick after the surgery from anesthesia and pain meds and the nurses were so kind. They literally were wiping my face and holding my hair back while I was getting sick. My pain was a level 10 immediately after surgery but they refused to provide any pain meds until i got out of bed, walked to a chair and ate a snack. That was cruel.

Kevin Brader is by far the worst doctor I've ever been to. Doesn't listen, Doesn't care and sure isn't going to give options for care. He has his preferred way and that is it doesn't matter what is best for the patient. He should not be practicing medicine.

After having had experienced having surgery twice in the last 4 months, (once at Corewell health, & once at U Of M Health), I can confidently say the surgical experience at U Of M was infinitely more pleasant. I should also note that Corewell health’s Emergency room didn’t even recognize my urgent need for surgery in the first place this time around, however U of M’s Emergency room did within an hour of me being there.
