My husband had a heart attack May 25th 2015, and we started getting the bills and were waiting for my insurance and my employer and flex to pay what they were going to pay, we started getting letters from Care Pay asking for a certain amount that we cant afford to pay. I called Care Pay and told them we didn't sign up for care pay but they said the hospital automatically signs you up for it. My mother was a patient in the ER recently, and we both ended up aggravated. I arrived less than 20 minutes after she did, and immediately noticed the room was actually dirty. By dirty I mean there was an actual pile of dirt under the chair in her room. Not to mention the items the staff attempted to throw away, but missed the waste bin and simply left sitting on the floor. She was extremely cold and having pain from muscle spasms. Awful. I have been to Metro ER a few times this year because of my Crohn's disease acting up and such. I went in last night by ambulance throwing up blood. I was treated horribly by the doctor who I think just assumed that I has been there a few times that I was faking or something. There have been times they have given me strong pain meds when I didn't need them and last night when I was in excruciating pain I was given an NSAID, nausea meds and an anti anxiety medicine!!! and sent home. I went in to the ER with sharp abdominal pain on my right side. It ended up being appendicitis. And the appendix had to be removed with surgery. Throughout the entire process my nurses cared for me genuinely and were always prompt with fulfilling my needs. My fiance stayed with me and they were also very accommodating to him as well. Thank you Erin, Shelley, Pari, Chaunnee, Carla, and the surgeon Dr. Johnson who all cared for me during my stay.
