This company proceeded to send my SSN # to an unverified source, That I have never been employed by and proceeded to say that this other company is "covering for me". They blatantly send my personal information do an unknown entity and exposed my entire SSN #. I asked what gives them the right to send my personal info to unverified sources ? The response was We go to what we want with your information. If you do Business with this company you are opening your own company up to a multitude of liability issues.
I went through a divorce where my ex took over 100% of a debt in court. He was being garnished, paid half and then filed bankruptcy. After this, Metro Collections came after me. They would not work with me, about no longer being legally obligated to this debt. Not only that, they changed the amount paid, from half paid, back to full. So they expect me to pay a full debt that has already been partially paid. They will not return calls to work out payments or anything, they just want to garnish the full amount! This debt stems from a landlord tenant case. Two parties signed the lease. Any divorce decrees do not release the other responsible parties of their obligation towards payment of the debt. Suit was filed through Adams County and judgment secured against both lease signors. Garnishment was issued against one of the two defendants and that money had to be returned to the bankruptcy trustee due to preferential payment.
