My budgie was laying an egg but she started breathing hard and wasn't making much progress. Metro was the only vet out of any I called willing to see her tonight. They took her in right away due to her laboured breathing and let her hang out in an oxygen kennel. The vet was able to push the egg out pretty easily and I was in and out in a couple hours. Well worth every penny and they only charged me the exam fee, which isn't much more than any other vet office. I literally can't recommend them enough. My budgie is very proud ... read more

Called in to see how much it would cost for a urinalysis. they said $185 plus tax just to see the doctor, and then $135.00 plus tax for the urine test. Absolutely a shame how much these vets are charging. taking complete advantage of people.on top of that, one person sitting at the desk literally had her feet on top of it, all relaxed and the wait was about 3 hours long. We decided to leave and go to Maritime Emergency vet. Update: a visit a year later was much better. 5/5.

Metro Animal Emergency Clinic in Burnside deserves a 5 star review after our recent visit. They were waiting for us to transfer our elderly dog from the car inside—during our most recent rainstorm . The care was fast, efficient, caring and gentle—-despite the fact that the power went out shortly after we arrived.

The staff at metro emergency deserve all of the praise and thanks in the world. They took such great care of my little baby Auggie while he underwent obstruction surgery. Not only that but they kept us updated and in the loop throughout his surgery and hospital stay. I truly don’t know what we would have done without them. They made a very scary and stressful time as bearable as it could be. Thank you, thank you, thank you for taking care of my baby like he was one of your own. There will never be enough words I can say to c... read more

My cat was hit by a car. A neighbour recommended I take him here, as it was late at night and I was absolutely inconsolable. After having taken some time to say goodbye to him before handing over his body, I sat on a bench at least 20–30 feet from their entrance, trying to arrange a ride home (Uber was being fussy about my payment method and I was trying so hard to pull myself together.) One of their staff came outside and walked over to me—initially, I thought, to say something kind. Instead, I was effectively given the bum... read more
