Love it !!!! Love it!!!!!! – Wow what fun. Food was GREAT. Service was relaxed not prententious. I loved the mojitos,the provoleta and the filet au poivre. I really enjoyed the Merry Edwards pinot noir. Thanks Metro 8 for such a great night.
Best Kept Secret in Durham – WONDERFUL. I had no idea that this place was so wonderful. Great Service!! Great food. My husband and I just loved it. Ihad the pork chop with the sweet potatoe fries and he had the peppercorn filet with a gigantic loaded baked potatoe. It's a Steak house with South American infuences. The empanades were fantastic. Absolutely wonderful. – I was a little skeptical seeing this place amongst all of the establishments aimed at students, but this place is great. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. Great food, friendly folks, open late. Bottles of wine 1/2 price on Wednesdays. – We love this place! The interior is comfortable and classy. The owners never fail to greet diners and are gaining a loyal following for this reason. The wait staff is usally top-rate and it is rare to have to wait for a table. Great Staff - Awesome Food! – I can't say enough good things about Metro 8. I am a consultant and am constantly on the road eating at restaurants all over the country. I'm in Durham for 6 months and I have been at Metro 8 every Tuesday night. The staff is outstanding and the food, in fact, the entire menu is well thought out - Incredible!
Great food, drinks and service – My boyfriend and I went Metro 8 for dinner and we loved everything! From the awesome skirt steak that was just enough, to the chocolate souffle for dessert. Cassie one of the owners greeted us and was very friendly, which made our experience even better. We sat outside which made for a lovely evening. I would highly recommend Metro 8 to any of my friends or co-workers.

AMAZING!!! – We recently visited friends in NC who took us to this fabulous gem of a restaurant near the Duke U. campus. The 4 of us travel quite a bit and dine at restaurants all over the country more often than at home, and we unanimously agreed that this was among the best meals any of us could recall. great customer service – My boyrfriend and I went to Metro 8 based on a previous Citysearch review. It is a very calm, quaint restaurant in the middle of 9th St in Durham. We both had different steaks which were cooked very well, but not as seasoned as I tend to like. However, the service and the desserts were absolutely superb! The chocolate souffle should be illegal!!! It takes a few extra minutes for them to make, but it is well worth the wait. The waiter was very nice, attentive, and conversational.
