I must have had the same doctor as Sherri, I went to the hospital with both covid and the flu (at the same time)-- I told them I had copd and empysema and an autoimmune disease that makes it hard to heal--A really high number on he bloodwork showed I had a blood clot disolving and they did a cat scan of my lungs that didn't show a clot there so who knows where it is (nothing else was checked)--The xray showed the emphysema and also showed a small portion of my lung was collapsed-- They gave me a potassium pill because my pot... read more

Yesterday was the Worst experience I have had at Stone Oak or any Methodist Hospital. I have a rare autoimmune disease and a month ago I was in Methodist-Atasoca with pneumonia. I woke up yesterday with a 104.7 fever in the middle of the night. I waited for my husband to get off work to drive me the 2 hours to Stone Oak because of my long history. The doctor came in and put me on Sepsis alert. She did not listen to me about the new monthly infusion I take for the autoimmune. I had a high fever and had been falling. My left ... read more

Horrible double standard Policies extremely Unconcerned and inconsiderate staff. Hospital staff should be trained on how to deal with patients and visitors and emotional states.

Visitor check-in staff is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Total disregard for visitors emotional state. Hospital implemented visitor regulations but makes exceptions based on who’s is working or how they are feeling. Like a weird power trip for minimum wage workers.

I would advise the hospital to get rid of ER Dr. Gutierrez. I had back surgery at Downtown Methodist. After a few days I went to the surgen’s office for a checkup. I left the surgeon’s office and drove home. Upon arriving at my house I got out the vehicle and I felt a sharp pain in my back. I thought I just moved wrong because I was still healing. As I walked to the door my wife said “Oh my God honey, you are bleeding”. In my mind I thought a drop of blood or 2 had gotten on my clothes through the stitches. I knew it hurt bu... read more

I am frequently hospitalized for chronic health problems. I was recently unlucky enough to be stuck in this horrible place for a month. There are quite a few wonderful nurses, and a few horrible ones that should be fired. There are a few good doctors, and quite a few horrible ones who should be fired. The hospital policies seem designed to make patients miserable. I was given fewer pain meds in the hospital than I take outside of the hospital every day of my life- for many years. So my pain was completely uncontrolled. I rep... read more

My Fiancee went in for surgery in May. When we got the itemized bill, it indicated 15 different medications were used, some that duplicated others, some with major interactions with others, etc. He was vomiting for hours after the surgery, and in fact did so when they were wheeling him out the door!! After 4 months of phone calls, faxes, certified letters, etc, we STILL have no answers to our questions, and a so called director, left me a voice message stating that the bill has been audited, and everything is as it should... read more
