My wife’s pacemaker does not function properly at all. We live 4 hours away and no doctors in our area work with the brand Dr Machell put in... they won’t touch her at all and want nothing to do with it. Doctor on call last night noted it as high priority to be taken care of first thing this morning by Machell’s office... we had to call them all day and still can’t get answers. She coded over the weekend and has repeatedly manually and with pulse/ox taken her heart rate well into the 40s... her pacemaker is set to not allow ... read more
The waiting is ridiculous. My appointment was at 8, it’s 9:45, STILL WAITING.
Worst office staff in the world. They dont return calls to patients. Typical case of people thinking they are god. I was told they have so many patients, sometimes calls fall between er m the cracks.... The loss of one person's life is unacceptable, most especially when calls fall between the cracks. imagine being in an episode and no one will return your calls... The first few times we went we were greeted, treated so well, everyone was nice and friendly, acted like they actually cared about my 2 month old. They had him there every week because we were monitoring his weight and food intake and trying medications and new formulas...Then without my knowledge our insurance was changed and no longer accepted by this office. Sad to see the decline in care here. My mom was a patient for many years. Now her physician is leaving so they dumped her. I was shocked the practice wouldn't at least temporarily pickup the patients. Such a complete lack of compassion for long-time patients. I guess $$ trumps care.
Front office staff is friendly. My doctor and MA are very nice! Great location, right next to North East Methodist Hospital!
When their physicians leave the practice, their patients are left hanging without a doctor. They tell pts. that maybe ‘in a year’ they will have a new doctor who can take care of them. This practice takes no responsibility to care for their patients who have been under their care for a decade or more. They just send a letter to announce a physician leaving and wash their hands off.
Dr. Juan Pico was great and so was Ms. Veronica. very personable and professional
