Houston Methodist used to be a hospital system that cared, but like others in the healthcare industry they are only concerned with their profits. The staff lacks compassion and there have been several occasions where the room was overflowing with trash and there was blood on the floor, bed rails, and sheets. Absolute trash! Their system is designed to nickel and dime you to death, literally. They send you to every specialist for problems you are not having and then send you to collections a week later over bills you paid or were unaware of. The "intake, indoctrone" doctors that you meet upfront refer you to everyone to bleed you dry of funds. Heaven knows don't ask for a allergy shot while seeing a primary care because they will refer you forever to other doctors within methodist draining your pockets dry. Dr. Huang was recommended to me by a relative who was very impressed with the outcome, (similar to my problem). My outcome was excellent and I was dismissed from home-health care in one week. My only complaint was the long wait for the surgery......which was not really the fault of the Dr., but there were some needed supplies not available for a quicker solution to my problem. The new schedule of the out patient lab is NOT patient friendly at all! What used to be a schedule that opens at 7:00 AM is now moved on hour later at 8:00 AM. The impact of this hits working patients who need to go to work after a lab work. I go for out patient lab every 6 months and it was always a convenient schedule to be there early before they open and be the first few after they open at 7:00. Sugarland Methodist has always treated lil old ordinary me as a Queen during my less serious to major hospital visits. My care team always provided clear expectations and care addressing my needs. I wouldn't want to go to any other Hospital. The doctors have saved my life twice! My family all uses Sugarland Methodist also.
