This company is looking to STEAL YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. I am not the only one who has gone through this - check yelp. Made up charges, extremely high charges - whatever it takes to keep your money. Renae Urie had me pay almost FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS to move in - $1640 being in "refundable security deposits". She not only had tried to keep it, but has told me that I OWE HER MONEY. Steve and Renae Urie are the most rude, unprofessional landlords ever. House not clean, appliances and fixtures broken when we moved in. Received multiple nasty notes and eviction threats over weeds. Never mind that there were only ever 1-2 weeds, max. Whenever appliances broke down or things needed to be fixed, we always waited at least a week to hear back. I too was cheated out of my deposit by Mesa Verde. Last December I moved out if my rented home of six years. Even though I passed previous inspections and thoroughly cleaned my home upon move-out, Mesa Verde only refunded $166 of my $900 refundable deposit, mostly for cleaning and yard work expenses. This is in violation of the Arizona statute on security deposits. I attempted to work this out with Renea Urie, co-owner of Mesa Verde, and she was belligerent and uncooperative, much like the other complaints assert. I decided ... read more

I would like to warn anyone looking for a property to rent to avoid Mesa Verde Property Management!! Besides having to pay an outrageous deposit ( rent was $1050 and deposit was $1575) any issues that were brought to their attention took forever to resolve if at all. When our toilet overflowed several times they sent their "Handyman" out to take a look at it. He recommended a new toilet. Yet no new toilet was installed. Then when our washer started acting up. 4 months no problems – We were living overseas and so had to find a place and sign without seeing it. We first dealt with a couple other local realtors (including Farnsworth, which seemed awful... didn't update listings, couldn't actually speak to anyone, wouldn't return calls), but Renae at Mesa Verde has been really good. She was always able to answer lots of questions. We were pretty high maintenance because of our situation so we had lots of emails and calls and trying to arrange everything.
