I would have taken a picture of the Seco de Carne but I ANNIHILATED THAT TASTY MEAT! Had no idea they've only been open for a month. Only wish I lived closer (N Portland). So Oregon City folks---get on this else I swear I'll come down here and steal this whole building and plant it in St John's Our party also tried the Lomo Saltaldo and Fajitas de Cameron. We would recommend them all.
Peruvian mule was 5 stars, food was 1 star, price-considering what we got for it- 1 star. I'm only giving this 3 stars because the cocktail was good and their brunch menu looks promising. I wouldn't go back for dinner.
Great atmosphere and the Fajita Burrito is awesome! Pair with a Breakside IPA and you are good to go.
Just ate lunch at Mesa Fresca. I had the Waffle sandwich special and it was Amazing. The spices in the sausage patty were so tasty. Roy was super friendly and our food was delivered hot and faster than expected for a sit down lunch service. We also started our meal with chips and salsa and the salsa has a hint of mango giving an unexpected sweet bite, Soooo good. We work downtown and have tried every restaurant. My friend had the cheese burger and said it is "The best burger on the strip" Hand pressed and seasoned with Peruv... read more
Well, portions small. Pricey and very limited menu. Service was okay but they still need to work out the kinks. We will wait awhile and maybe try them again
Opening weekend I get but YOU RAN OUT OF FOOD AT 8:00pm ON A FRIDAY NIGHT and STAFF ATTENTIVENESS WAS HORRIBLE. The bar tender walked by us multiple times and didn't even acknowledge us. 5 years ago in OC it would have been fine but the quality of restaurants in downtown OC now are great and those that are thriving get it. Mesa Fresca missed a golden opportunity in the downtown OC scene. We may try again but it will be awhile to see if the reviews improve. FOR NOW I WOULD AVOID IT until they show otherwise.
Max was exceptional! Very friendly and prompt with cocktails.
Unimpressed with the poor quality of food, over-priced meals, and lackluster service. This place needs to do a complete 180 if they are going to survive.
Very excited for the new restaurant! We stopped in 2 days after they opened. The place looks great, although it is confusing which door you go in, and really no direction for host stand etc. The menu is extremely small with no kid options, and no dessert options. I am sure they are still working out the opening kinks but overall we were satisfied. Although the drinks and food were very tasty, they seem overpriced, especially with the portion size and for the area. We would like to go back in a few months and see how they gro... read more
