My husband and I are road tripping and this ADORABLE shop was on our list of fabric shops to visit. WOW! We picked up a copy of "Quilters' Travel Companion" listing all the quilt shops in North America, and thus far, we have checked off many shops, but for SURE, Mes Amis is on TOP! GREAT fabrics of a local flair, knowledgeable and friendly owner, and heck ! just so darn much FUN there! I loved this place during my visit to new Orleans... I have just joined a quilting guild here in Nevada and have never quilted before. I didn't want to leave without bringing back some mardi gras material for my very first quilt.. Denise was so awesome and helped me pick out the material I needed . gave me suggestions, and pointers.. she has some beautiful fabric, and I know that I will order more from her in the future..
