Took my stihl chop saw in to be repaired. Not only did they fix it for less then I was quoted by another shop it was done the very next day. I own a concrete finishing company and I use my saws a lot. Now that I've found Mervs I have a place I can trust to get me running again quickly. Thanks guys.
Things must have changed since the reviews were wrote on here cause I've been doing business with mervs for a few years now and I'm always 100% pleased. I've never had any problems. Not only do they do great work its always reasonably priced. Never had any issues the other reviews claim to have.
Mervs mowers is a great place to have your lawn mower, pressure washer or chainsaw repaired. I take mine anytime they need it and I have always been treated well. They are reasonably priced compared to other shops in the area. Billy is very knowledgeable and he has a staff of some talented mechanics.
I don't understand the reason for all the negative reviews here. I have been using Merv's service since 2005 and brought them at least 5 gas powered tools and machines, and have never had a problem with them.
Merv's mower is a joke! We took our mower there about 2-3months ago. Got it back today and it barely starts. Mind you it started when we took it there and ran great but it kept throwing the belts off. Not only did the owner tell us he doesn't know what's wrong but he said"sometimes you just don't know what's wrong" they think it's this or that and wants $300 to fix something they think is wrong...that's not how business is done. I moved to Sorrento a couple of months ago and I need a fuel line and air filter on one of my blowers so I took it to Merv"s Mowers. What a big mistake that was. Merv told me that it would cost $35.00 and be done in 3 days. Great!!! right??? NOT SO MUCH!!! 9 days later I call them and I'm told that my equipment is beyond repair. Wait what??? You are not alone ocalaforestguy32767. Merv's has a scam on giving out a price and then wanting more money at pickup, and they try to justify this by printing on their paperwork to not go by the price the mechanic gives you. Why does the mechanic give out any prices if they are not good/usable? Merv's also charges for unused items and leaves your mower unprotected out in the open yard where rain can add more damage to your paint, electric wiring & controls, seating.
