Specialties At Schneider Kerr & Gibney, we know the law, and we know how to prepare cases for hearing. Our staff and attorneys solidify cases by obtaining medical records as well as statements from doctors and witnesses. Because our firm has tried thousands of Social Security cases, we also know how to present the case to the administrative law judge (ALJ). Most cases taken to hearing are won there. Cases that are denied after a hearing can be appealed to the Social Security Appeals Council. If lost at the Appeals Council, t... read more

This disability came at me progressively. Schneider Kerr Law Offices were there for me the moment I needed it the most. -Social Security Disability Attorneys
Absolutely the worst legal representation I have ever seen. I have been lied to too many times to count and the legal advice I have recieved on my case has actually been bad advice on several occasions. So bad that it may have actually contributed to the demise of my entire case and has left me feeling super depressed and at times suicidal. The lawyer appointed to my case laughed, smirked, and was otherwise rude to me. The only meeting I had with him was about 20 minutes long and I had to leave and smoke a cig because he was... read more
So far I have done all the paperwork myself. no one has coached me on how to word things or tried to figure out the things that i take for granted as just getting older. That might help my case. Feels like a wasted $6000. To me. accept that all of the deciding judges think a lawyer has to put his stamp on it or it's an automatic denial.
I am still waiting for my hearing but I have been treated very well. SS seems to be the problem. I filed in 2000 and several month's later I realized I had a private disability included in another insurance policy, I'd been paying for. I was selling my business at a loss due to my inability to continue working. So I filed that too. Over a year later and at least 3" of paperwork I had accumulated, most of it repetitive, I was denied by SS. Within a month of SS denial, maybe 2 months after filing with my private insurance they... read more
Two weeks before my hearing I have waited over two years for they drop me as a client, saying my case is un-winnable. Never heard a negative word about my case from them before this. I am shocked, pissed, & disgusted that I trusted my financial well being to a bunch of quitters, just pathetic. Learn from my life changing mistake & go with anyone but these unethical hacks.
These people have saved my family from bankruptcy and homelessness by managing to choke a disability pension out of Social Security. They have labored tirelessly and dealt very patiently with my ignorance.
