Cant say enough positive things about Dr. Jake Hamer. I've had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Hamer about 5 times now. 1st for EMG test referral for positive carpal tunnel on both wrists my 1st visit and Dr.Hamer was just a down to earth easy man to dialogue with and his approach and communicating with you is so chill he's extremely knowledgeable as he is a orthopedic hand surgeon and he explains things to you in a calm low voice while looking you in the eye explaining what condition you have what causes it while he's ... read more
My family and I love Dr. Hamer. He operated on my husband, both hands and my husband had a remarkable recovery and result. You can't even see the surgical scar. Then I saw Dr. Hamer, most recently 1/16/25 and my wrist and hand were just very painful. He fixed it and I felt better right away. Dr. Hamer is really kind, listens attentively and maybe that's how he figures out what the problem is. I trust him implicitly!! Thank you Dr. Hamer for once again fixing my hand and wrist.
Dr Hamer took an X-ray, which was normal, told me that there was no hand swelling because he said it therefore it is. Now my hand still hurts and swelling is worsening. I'm having problems working , but it doesn't matter because I'm not a candidate for surgery. Better to just say there's nothing wrong with me then try to find out what the problem is. He asked me if I was a nurse at Scripps when I said no, he lost some interest. I wonder if I would have been taken seriously if I had been a nurse at Scripps instead of another ... read more
Dr. Hamer is a great doctor, very kind, and explained everything. Had surgery 2 weeks ago on my two trigger fingers. Had no pain at all after surgery. To me one of the best doctors...Thank You
He's fantastic. Won't push surgery unless you really need it. fixed my son's elbow/hand and let me just do physical therapy on my thumb injury. Nice person. Was really caring when my son was hurt and was so happy when he saw that my son's surgery had worked. He is also the son of a hand surgeon so it is in his blood. ;)
