Merit Coffee used to be part of my daily routine, and honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about the space, the staff, and the overall experience. It’s a great spot and I loved being a regular. The reason I’ve had to step back is that I switched from coffee to matcha, and the matcha lattes here have consistently been weak, watered down, and pretty flavorless. Great coffee shop for a walk around Town Lake. Service and staff are awesome. They actually care about their coffee quality. Quick story… I ordered an espresso to drink there in a glass, and they really took the time to dial it in before handing it to me. It was the first straight espresso of the morning and they used a specialty bean. I believe it took them 5 shots dialing in the grind before they were happy with the quality enough to hand it to me.
