Meridian Title has been great to work with but don't let them hold any of your proceeds. They take it upon themselves to pay property taxes that were paid from your escrow prior to the sale. No call to let you know or give you the option to pay them. Now our money has been applied to spring and fall taxes. We paid fall taxes to the buyer at closing and is now sitting in their escrow. I was in search of a notary for a real estate transaction. My bank wouldn't do it, UPS couldn't do it but they gave me a solution. UPS in Michigan City referred me to Meridian Title Corporation, Michigan City, In. They were the nicest, most professional group of people I have encountered in a very long time.
