This offends me as a vegan transgender hipster Native-American-Indo-Chinese hybrid alien agnostic-atheist German engineer who vapes fairtrade organic decaffeinated compressed and hydrated extra-protein soy breast milk on the regular and does Hindi Kama Sutra naked crossfit yoga 5 times per week. I'm also a nonbinary trigender genderqueer male feminist and identify myself as a pastafarian pansexual genderfluid Apache helicopter dog of mega multi alpha beta gamma delta omega combo god of hyper death who's in a polygamous polya... read more

I applaud the Star for its endorsement, particularly in the face of what they must have known would be strong backlash. I ask everyone who has expressed outrage to consider the Star's motivations for doing this. We know it's not their policy to make endorsements, and we know it most certainly could have not been profit-driven. But this is an exceptional election, and it calls for making an exceptional decision. That's exactly what the Star did. Bravo.

Best newspaper in East Mississippi. Keeps me on the edge of my chair every morning with my coffee in hand.

Great paper that provides fair and factual news. Just like I have the right to vote for the candidate I wish. This paper also has the right and freedom to endorse the candidate they wish.

Thank you for all you do and for helping to bring our city news and more throughout the years. Thank you for doing as you have done before now with endorsing presidential candidates. Keep following your heart and pay no attention to those who do not know how to handle when others do not agree with them. Keep being a "star" for Meridian in shining a light. I look forward to connecting with you all in the near future, as I am a growing leader in the city. ~Sending love and connecting with your dreams~
