I have been going to Merishkas since I was a young girl. 5 kids that always had a choice, a party or Merishkas. Only once did we have a party. Lol! Now I am on the downward slide to 60 years old and I still call Merishkas my favorite restaurant. The "tap room" brings back memories of my childhood and those Poorboys, they never dissapoint. I drive 1 and 1/2 hours each way now to visit about 4 times a year and its worth every single mile!

I had a poor boy and it was like a piece of drywall on plain dry bread, no flavor, left most of it on my plate

The "po boy" sandwiches are absolutely terrific. We could only eat 1/2 of it so saved the other 1/2 for lunch today. I wasn't impressed with the French fries. They didn't taste like they were done. The salad was crisp and nice and cold. If you haven't gone, you need to and enjoy the sandwich.
