Dealing with a death of a family member is hard. You hope that the funeral home Director will be compassionate and attentive. I know funeral directors are taught not show emotions. Janet the owner and director of Mereness-Putnam-Putnam is the opposite. She is down right mean. She shows zero comparison and at times you feel like you are inconveniencing her. The employees are not much better. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere.

Rich - Death is difficult to deal with and plays upon one’s emotions, especially in the restricted times of COVID-19. Myself and my husband, Richard, spoke with your parents extensively throughout the week regarding your brother’s services and discussed the mandated quarantine that was put into place by our New York Governor for those who are traveling in from classified high risk states, Florida being one in particular. Spouse Janet & Richard assisted us 2 years ago to move a daughter buried in another cemetery 45 miles away 50 years ago to a cemetery where we live now. Their job of co-ordinating 2 cemeteries, 2 funeral homes and the company to do the moving went off without any problem. Today we had the inurnment of my wife's ashes after she had passed away Mar. 18 and they completed the whole process of visitation period and funeral with superb professionalism and compassion.
