Meredith was a lifesaver after the birth of my son. She came to my house the day after I came home from the hospital to evaluate his latch and discovered that he had a severe tongue tie, as well as cheek and lip ties. She helped us navigate the procedures needed to correct the issues and came up with a plan to keep him fed in the meantime. Meredith was a godsend after we had our baby! Not only does she arrange her schedule to come and see you at your house, but she has such a kind and gentle bedside manner. Our fussy baby was incredibly calm when she was holding him, and that was saying something! We had a lot of nursing issues postpartum due to our baby's tongue tie, and Meredith served as a wealth of knowledge as we navigated that unfamiliar territory. Meredith is a miracle worker when it comes to troubleshooting breastfeeding problems! LO was noted to have a tongue tie in the hospital that was "clipped" and taken care of my the pediatrician. "Great, wonderful!" we thought as it was taken care of at the time of his circumcision. He did great latching and eating but about two weeks after we got home from the hospital my nipples began to hurt terribly. I went to Meredith because after 8 weeks, breastfeeding my son was still uncomfortable and usually painful. I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to find anything wrong and that I would just have to put up with the pain until weaning. I was so relieved when she was able to recognize a problem right away just from observing a feeding! After having terrible experiences with other lactation consultants, I turned to Meredith and was not disappointed! Meredith helped to confirm our suspicions about a tongue and lip tie, referred us to a great pediatric dentist for the tie revisions, and offered help and support post-revision to ensure our 6-week-old daughter would recover well. Meredith is amazing. She is the reason I was able to breastfeed my daughter, despite low supply, until she was 1.5. And she also made it possible for me to have a very successful breastfeeding relationship with my son. I can't thank her enough!
