Get directionsThe hospital sucks!
The medical care is decent, however, the administrative side (Billing, Scheduling) is a joke, literally the front does not know what the rear is doing, definitely would not voluntarily walk into this hospital for help.
Medical care is decent, however, the administrative processes (billing, communication, scheduling) is HORRIBLE, be prepared the do lots of your own leg work when dealing with these people. I would not voluntarily walk into this hospital for help.
The Emergency Room at Mercy should not be open!!! I was in December 9th and I was shocked at how inconsiderate the nurses were in the ER. The morning I went it was 2 a.m., It was not crowded, obviously others knew not to go to that ER. I went in because I had Covid and bronchitis, my throat was so swollen I could barely get a breath. I had to come out to the desk to get a cup of ice. 5 people standing at the desk, they said go back to the room and push the help button. Never once did a Dr look at my throat!!!! Today I'm really disappointed in the nursing staff and security guards at Mercy Hospital St Louis. If you love your love ones this not the hospital to take them to. My daughter and I was just put out the ICU(Intensive Care Unit) by people on power struggle, because I asked for pain pill for my daughter. My daughter was on 6 liters of oxygen, Pnuemonia, IV antibiotic, sepsis and shortness of breath. Being scheduled for drain placement in right chest. Staff nurse says me asking was aggressive to her. Security showed up and sa... read more

They should change their name to Merciless South. Made the mistake of having open heart surgery there. It was a nightmare. Did I mention someone added stuff to my chart that wasn't true? Patient Relations is a joke. The sad part is that the best primary care doctor is there. Dr. Doerr
Customer service is really bad, it takes forever to speak with someone real. Email them and they will contact you within 48 hours.
If I could give Mercy zero stars or sub-zero stars based on my mom's recent hospital experience I would. My mom was brought to the ER by my father with vision issues and mental health issues. Based on her mental health, they decided to hospitalize her. I thought that was a wise choice at the time. Boy were we wrong. As my father left, he saw hospital workers loading my mom in a van to take her to a secure mental health facility. His understanding was that she would be at the main hospital. Due to COVID, no one could see her ... read more
