After waiting nearly a year to get in, they don't take fibromyalgia patients or anyone that has something that one can't just test positive for yet due to scientific limitations. This then means fibromyalgia or those with CFS or similar conditions don't have anywhere to go if rheumatology can't help them except less relevant specialists or general practitioners. The Dr was very pleasant and knowledgeable, patient and respectful staff was very nice
Called to check on referral and appointment. I was transferred to the operator. I asked to leave a message for rheumatology. The lady that I spoke with asked if I already had an appointment scheduled, I explained that I was calling to check on a referral as my PCP had instructed me to do so. I was then asked if my provider was a "Mercy physician," when I answered no she stated "well then they wont call you back." and proceeded to have a rude tone of voice. Dr. Timothy Hayes is absolutely great, listens to my concerns, addresses them appropriately, and within a timely manner. Overall great, but today I had to call about a last minute appointment and the staff was rude and would barely let me finish my sentence. When I stated I wanted to check on my appointment using Dr. Hayes’ name she cut me off and questioned if I had even seen him before. DR. FUGATE IS AMAZING. HAS A SUPER PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE AND WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PATIENT. I HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING SHE HAS DONE. WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO GO SEE HER. SHE IS AWESOME!
