I only gave 1 star because that is required. You cannot reach them by phone via the website! I paid at time of service and I keep getting bills for the same service with differing amounts on them. I have contacted each time 4 so far) and they admitted to overcharging me and refunded me $20. I just received a collection notice for THE SAME VISIT!! Lo and behold it has yet a different amount on it! I will go ANYWHERE but Mercy!!
Refuse to answer my emails. Applied for financial assistance 6 months ago and Mercy won't give me a yes or a no. Just tell me No, that'd be fine, but avoiding me like cowards is pathetic. 2 grand for an ambulance ride half a mile away, crooks. I'll stick with CoxHealth who will at least accept $25 monthly payments unlike Mercy who wouldn't accept less than $75 a month then sent me to collections EVEN THOUGH I was still (and still am) awaiting a response for financial assistance.
Billing deserves 0/5 stars, a 1 star is beyond generous. Employees are incompetent and made repeated mistakes at the patients expense, trained robots in response, and frankly rude when asking for documentation (if you wanna know, you must hire a lawyer to request interactions and summaries - another thing at your expense due to their error). Billing will not provide an extension so you just talk to someone new every time and therefore get a different answer or run around with each call.
