I went there on my own accord. Then they twisted my words and tried to claim i was involuntary, when I was in fact, voluntary. I argued and then the Dr made me a deal to stay 2 more days, to make surey meds didn't have a side effect. I agreed. But the time I was in there was horrible. There were no groups, classes, therapy sessions or anything else. You slept, ate, watched TV, and there were some coloring pages. People were not getting the help they needed. The lady who answered the phone when I called to ask some basic questions was EXTREMELY hateful and rude. When asked if they admit people who aren't necessarily suicidal but are in a state of mental crisis, she responded "well why do they need to come here then". What a disgrace of a place that is meant to HELP. I wonder how many people have been turned away and didn't make it to see another day because of stuff like this. Shame on Mercy
