What a shame. Too bad they couldn’t compete with the boring bad food in this city. The food was great here, best (and only) fresh oysters in this culinary desert. You will be missed! Hopefully you guys reopen in a classier town with patrons that appreciate finer food. Pittsburgh will never be a good food city though, so it definitely wasn’t you guys.
Absolutely heartbroken to learn this place is closing down. This is a huge loss for Butler Street. Merchant has been among my favorite places since I first discovered Lawrenceville in 2019. I really hope the chef can find a new location or somehow bring back this business once the building sells. Very sad. 😞
