I have a brand new 2024 mercedes sprinter 3500. The oil level dropped by a lot. Mercedes told me we need to do an oil change and a consumption test. This is a NEW vehicle which means it's under warranty. They want to charge double the price of the oil change to charge you for the test. This test requires no labor and you won't get your money back because having the vehicle running for 5 hours will not show the loss.
