excellent service and great atmosphere
This place continues to go downhill. It used to be our favorite place to eat in Tyler. The service is terrible. There are lots of employees but they stand around talking half of the time and the last two visits they have gotten our order wrong. You have to pay for sopapillas now and they quit giving a military discount, despite having a menu that says military discount given all day every day. Very disappointing.
great food great environment
My waiter Christopher was very accommodating of my low carb choices! Loved the new white cheese dip served with bell peppers! Thanks for taking the time and making sure I stayed low carb. TY Mercados for Honoring the Veterans! I loved the new menu covers;) well done! food was yummo.
We have been eating at Mercado's for over 30 years. Today we went for lunch because our daughter was home from Houston and needed a Mercado's fix. They have changed their menu and added many items; however, they have raised their prices and are now charging for sopapillas as well ($1.00 each)!!! I guess next they will charge for tortillas. Don’t order the Gorditas! Carnitas were super hard!
Okay so Mercados use to be my Go To restaurant but over the past year or two the food quality started to decline but we would still come. I went yesterday and they have changed the menu up which is fine but the prices are now more expensive and the portion sizes are smaller! The food isn't good enough for them to increase the prices and give smaller portions.... They now charge for honey but will let you have butter... I think that may be the last straw for me.
