I recently had an appointment to prepare for a new bridge. I was extremely anxious as the procedure required about 1.5 hours in the chair with a fair amount of drilling and grinding. For the physical pain, Dr. Roland did a great job administering the Novocaine for a near pain free experience. After being with my dentist for over 15 years I switched and started coming to Mendon Dental practice. Dr. Kunkel was great but she retired shortly after I started coming to Mendon Dental. The practice is very relaxed and welcoming. Dr. Roland takes his time with every detail. If something isn't right he makes it right. If you're unhappy with your current dentist, I recommend you try here. .
I'm one of those patients who is SO very afraid of the dentist. I even cancelled my cleaning last year. I had a small emergency & had to see Dr. Roland. I was terrified. But today I'm a new person. I had a two hour appt. - filling repair & the beginning of a crown. There was NO pain. In the past I've experienced some pain but nothing today. I didn't even have to ask for move Novacane (sp) !!?? I just had two crowns completed at Mendon Dental by Dr Roland. It was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. I'm a new patient at Mendon Dental and this was my fourth visit. I decided to change dentists last fall and began with a consultation visit to check chemistry with a new-to-me dental provider, Mendon Dental. The chemistry seemed right. There hasn't been a single staff member I have met in the 9 years my kids and I have been going here that wasn't exceptional. Dr. Rowland has a talent for making procedures painless; he has a very gentle way. I wouldn't exactly say I love going to the dentist, but they make it as pleasant as can be.
Dr. Roland and the entire staff are fully and personally invested in my dental health and personal wellness. I feel that they are good friends. They are sensitive to my fears and I trust them completely. Definitely in the practice of, rather than the business of, dentistry.
