My mother , age 92, fell and broke her hip and fractured her ankle. She is in the swing bed section of the hospital and gets excellent care. She tells everyone how good she is treated, from the nurses, NP Ladner, the AIDS/CNA'S, and kitchen staff. I also witnessed how well my mother has been treated and I think the staff should be given credit for what they do. As for as the food, they can't please everyone, but you won't starve with the size helpings they give you. They give the patients plenty to eat.
My grandpa was in this place, he almost starved to death . But for the exception of a few aides & maybe 2 nurses they didn't care if he ate at all. He also had a bed sore so bad on his hip that it was documented & photos were taking at the next place he was in. If he needed something and it was change of shift with in 2 hours sometimes it would wait till the shift change . 2 hours now ... Also he was put in a Geri chair without supervision . Can you explain to me how you plan to cover the residences of stone county with one ambulance to run 911 calls and the transfer you have to send out of your hospital? 448 square miles and a population of 17k in 2010 this will put the citizen at risk. Especially when you dispatch your one ambulance and have no clue as to where your second one will come from. You are playing with lives and as a hospital I would hope that's not what you like to do. Donnie was in a bad 18 wheeler wreck in January. We have been to 4 different hospitals including Stone County. He had the best care here. They even found another problem he was having and got it corrected. We are proud of Stone County Hospital.
Worse hospital I ever been to with your 10' x 15" waiting room poor child before us came in with a head injury waited in your waiting room for over 2 hours nice older couple before that been waiting for 6 hours not impressed
