I cannot say enough about each and every one of the people at Memorial Hospice we came in contact with during the end stage of my dad's life. From the people answering the phone, to the nurses (Becky and Jamie - we would have been lost without you!!), to the home health aid (Marcus - you treated Dad with such loving care) and the social worker (Tom - thank you for listening), every single person was kind, caring, and knowledgeable. There have been 3 members of my family, including my wife, who were served by Memorial Healthcare Hospice. I was impressed by the communication among staff and the variety of support services . Each time we took full advantage of the nursing care, clergy, bath aides, and social workers. These people make it possible for your loved one to stay at home with family until the end.
The entire staff was professional, very kind, and very attentive. They provided top notch care to our loved one and wonderful support to our family.
I have found that almost every experience I have with Memorial Healthcare is usually an unpleasant one. Recently a close family member of mine started receiving Hospice care. The family met with the nurse and everything sounded amazing. Unfortuantely, when things sound to good to be true, they are! My mother was instantly accused of abusing her perscriptions and this woman went so far to say that, I, myself, was stealing her medication!!!
