What a treasure of a find for our dogs to be groomed. We rescue all different types of dogs. And they need to look less homeless and more homey. Mel's is THE PLACE to go for excellent personal attention to how a dog reacts to being groomed and the outcome is beyond perfect. Been to enough different grooming places, that were okay, no complaints, but Mel's is amazing. Cost is unbelievably low and the way my cocker and border collie turned out is just beautiful. Thank you so much for a great job.

Your takeing a chance if you take your baby here to get groomed!! I decided to try this place out and was a big mistake!! My dog was done with in 2 hours...with that being said my dog had a deep cut on top upper arm, deep enough for me to be concerned of a serious infection. Also on same arm 1 of his nails was clipped to low & was bleeding lightly from that. Owner never even told me any of this when i went to pick him up! My mistake for not looking over him right then! am not happy with this place and its my 1st time figured give her a try. She cut my dog, not just a little cut either a deep laceration into the meat. Did not even tell me either when i was there. Not only that his nail was cut to low was bleeding from that. She says she did not notice these cuts. This is a result from rushing had him done w/ in 2 hours. I have found that Mel's is cheaper than other per parlor's, BUT Mel becomes so RUDE if you question her about the cut she gave or price she quoted. And you MUST pick your dog up immediately when she calls you OR ELSE! She does not care what or how her customers feel. Having a dog is like having a child, your going to look for the best possible care and customer service as the consumer when you drop your dog off. Se does not get that ! Immediately she will tell you to "Go somewhere else" ! I will NEVER be back

Horrible and Rude! Horrible Service! Rude! I dropped my Golden Retreiver here for a bath and trim, he came back SHAVED! There is no hair left on my poor guy! When I called to inquire, the owner, Mel, told me that's what a haircut is on a Golden and that if I didnt like it, I was free to go somewhere else. Do yourself and your pet a favor, skip this place! LOOOOVVVEEE MEL'S!!! – Mel is AMAZING!!! She's truly an animal lover, and my little Maltese, Daisy is no exception! She treats my dog like she's one of her own, and I'm more than comfortable leaving her there. I was referred to Mel's by my neighbor who also takes her Maltese there. I had taken my Daisy to PetsMart a few times and was over-charged and under-satisfied each and every time. I take my two shelties there! – I took my two dogs there on a referral. She always does a good job and doesn't break the bank. You have to give her at least a week's notice for an appt. I drop off my dogs in the morning and they are done by the afternoon. She is very busy...so she will call you when they are ready. My dogs always look like show dogs when I pick them up. I know when I take them to Mel they are in good hands. I only use this groomer!
