We used Mels Country Café to cater our 12/15/18 wedding in Katy, TX and we were so happy with the food for our big day! During the planning process, me and my fiance attended various tastings with different companies. We decided that Mel's was the clear winner! I recommend the chicken fried steak, hand batter onion rings and a dinner salad. I go before the flocks of people arrive. For you Seniors that time would be between 4pm and 6pm for dinner. I've lived in this area for 40 years and Mel's service has always been friendly and down home cooking. .

Very good food! It looks like a total dump from the outside, but is clean and tidy inside, where it counts! I think they intentionally keep up the outside appearances. They have a huge burger challenge, but I can't imagine doing that! I could barely finish my single patty! The fries are really good. Nice service.
