Great visit to the caverns. Lots of history. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.
The tour guides were amazing and were greeted by “Jerry” the bat. He tried hitching a free tour guide. Completely freaked out some in the group. It’s was a lot of fun, very informative and if you do go, make sure you watch the video first!
Melrose Caverns has the coolest history of any of the Caverns in this area. You can see where Union and Confederate soldiers used the Caverns, how past owners made decisions that still impact the Caverns health today and how you can see "new" growth unlike other caves.
Great tour. Our tour guide was very informative about the history.
