Similar to all the other one star reviews. I went to see him for acne. He didn't do any type of exam or even look at my skin. He told me I could either do antibiotics or accutane. I said I wanted neither and he said those were my only two options. I looked at him and knew it would be a waste of time to argue so I took the prescription he wrote me and ripped it in half immediately after leaving the office. What a waste of time.
First review I've wrote in 30 years but hopefully that's enough said on how awful of an experience I had with Dr. Luckasen. Who walked into the room, did not shake my hand, did not introduce himself, and did not give me the time of day. I am a working mom who had to take time off and find someone to watch my kids. I did not do that for someone to walk in the room and waste my time. After the brief 2 minutes of him being rude, he was "unsure" how to treat so gave me 3 different prescriptions? So
First saw Dr Luckasen in '86 and had a chemical peel with great and lasting results. In the years since have only needed his service a few times. Once for suspicious growth on my nose which he removed and after healing can't even see where he took the slice from. And then a case of poison ivy. Just recently he removed a growth on the crown of my head and also a spot on the side of my face. I have never, and would never think of seeing another dermatologist. He is truly the best.

Always friendly. Has an open dialog with me. Cuts to the chase gives me the upfront information and recommendations of treatment. Pats me on the back upon my leaving. I have come to him many years and have never been disappointed. Hope he never retires. He is a gem!??
