Original review removed as a courtesy to the provider, though I stand by its accuracy. Sometimes it is difficult to hear we have harmed someone we tried to help, especially when that revelation occurs publicly, so we dismiss the words as unkind or untrue. I am unsure what prompted the provider’s response after so much time has passed, but it was an unwelcome reminder of an experience that likely aged out of relevance years ago. I can’t speak to the current quality of counseling provided here.

Ive been seeing Melissa off and on over the last 11 years. She has helped me tremendously with my anxiety and many other issues. She treats me as a friend, not like a "dollar sign" Melissa authentically cares.

I have been seeing Melissa for close to two years now. In this almost two years she has helped me tremendously! She has educated me on my anxiety disorder that previous therapists failed to do. She has also taught me techniques to help with my anxiety disorder that I still use all the time. She has been so patient and let me know what I NEEDED to hear. Highly unethical, self-centered, insecure. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Never remembered anything we’d talked about, frequently compared me to her other clients using detailed descriptions of their personal problems. Made every session about her and her issues and “not trusting her to ‘fix’ me”. How could I trust her when every session consisted of her gaslighting me or making light of my problems (which she’d then turn around and say we’re too complicated for her to manage) and talking about her? When I started seeing her, I was a mess. She has helped me through some of the toughest times in my adult life. She knows me better than I know myself, in some aspects. I have laughed and cried with her. I couldn't have asked for a better counselor! I recommend her to anyone I know that wants to start seeing someone.
