The Melilla Center in Glen Cove has supported me in so many ways. And truly has helped me through teaching and understanding. I am finally in recovery. Now I am able to help myself in many positive ways without fear. I now enjoy life because of their professional care and because I take my medication regularly. It is a Very safe environment with consistent quality services and support.
This place is the definition of bait and switch. I needed to get some certificate for the DMV. Anyhow, I was told I couldn't take the 12 week course without seeing a therapist and their psychiatrist even though I already have those, and far better quality I might add. To do insult to injury they wanted to change my medication, a medication I've been taking for years without issue. Money grubbing losers at this place.
This place let go my friend David Aranda, 37yrs old during July of 2K17 and was found on January 2K18 by the police, now that to me is very irresponsible that a patient in need of medical attention can escape such a professional institution for mental health, same on them for all I know they are very blessed that the police found him alive; I hope the police persecute the people that hold Mr.Aranda for all those months I hope they take this issue very seriously. Referred by LIJ/Northwell for outpatient services post treatment. All staff members are wonderful. Many services are provided to it's clients and it was well worth waiting for this busy facility.
Very easy to deal with on the phone.
