Fells Point Salon We started out with your Limo ride to Thames Street, by Guy. Then we ran into Kenny who warmly invited us to Meli, Since Mezze had a long wait for a table. it is so, since is is also one of the fine sister restaurants. Artfully prepared food! We've never gotten past the appetizers at this restaurant! Amazingly prepared food will leave you panting for more. A great place to take out of towners. It's hard to disappoint. Have the scallops or the shrimp and grits. The cheese platter is out of this world.
A Honey of a Place Although I am a fan of honey, I was curious as to how it could be incorporated into all aspects of a meal... Meli pulled it off, and then some. The evening started off spectacularly, as our server was so knowledgeable and excited about the menu offerings - even going into detail about how certain cheeses were made (I asked). Sweet meal Meli means "honey" and the decor and food really represent that concept. The interior is decorated in a honeycomb pattern and the food is all accented with touches of honey. The scallops appetizer was delicious....however, by the end of the meal, the taste of honey was a bit overwhelming for me. All in all, great location, good food, and good service.
