My experience with Melanie Santos was unkind and demoralizing. She started my pelvic exam without warning, she was abrupt. I asked her to slow down. I asked her to please explain what she was about to do before doing it. I explained I had been sexually assaulted in the past and needed her to walk me through the exam. She told me I need a psychologist. I told her that I have one, I've had extensive therapy - the assault happened when I was a child - and that my psychologist told me to let my gynecologist know this info. She w... read more
Excellent Care by Dr. Santos and her staff. I would highly recommend.
Dr. Santos was extremely professional, thorough, informative, and kind. I needed relatively extensive repair and a hysterectomy and she treated me with the utmost care and respect. During surgery she saw an additional problem and corrected it, knowing that since it wasn’t ore-approved she may not get paid on it. Also, she visited me 5 times in the hospital and called the nurses at least 4 times during my 2 day stay to check in. Whatever you do, DO NOT ask her any questions. She will make you feel stupid and show her annoyance. I had to apologize to HER for asking because she made me feel so belittled. Would not recommend her but apparently she is the only specialist around. Maybe that's why she thinks its ok to be so rude. Her assistance was sweet and when I mentioned how I felt, she said she is made to feel the same way if she has a question. I don't know how you can understand you body or issue but she is no help!!
