Was turned down after I had already scheduled an appointment. Not even a call in advance, they waited until I had gotten in the office to tell me the appointment was cancelled by them. Then they had the gull to say come back 3 hours later. I live half and hour away. Sickening service. This is no way you should treat people, let alone patients that are clearly vulnerable.
She and her team are the most inconsiderate medical staff my family has ever experienced. Was a 30-minute drive there, and she did not tell us she cancelled our week-prior booked appointment until my father got to the waiting room and sat down. They had two different numbers to contact us. We were more than on time as well, 30 minutes early. Disgusting practice and disgusting people who waste people's time and don't consider patient's pain.
I have never experienced such below-poor service from a medical professional with a very nasty character, and yet Dr. Jackson is supposed to show compassion for the people she was hired to provide care to. The wait time was very long and she was so nasty and mean-spirited. Clearly violated her medical in my opinion by not showing compassion. Dr. Jackson conducted a GI related test at 7:30am in the morning for my mom who had been in the hospital (AAMC) for almost a week without clear indication of what was wrong.... despite several calls to her office from me, other family members, nurses from AAMC (Anne Arundel Medical Center) and one surgeon, Dr. Jackson never responded or reported as the GI Consult to discuss her findings. If I could give ZERO stars I would. This doctor Jackson was the on call physician for my gastroenterologist (her colleague). I called after hours because I was experiencing an acute change in my condition, and my medication was at the end of its supply. I called her, not knowing what (if anything) she would be authorized to do after hours, but I needed to try to speak to someone. I was exceedingly polite in asking for assistance and she curtly said there was nothing she could do and rushed me off the phone/borderline hung up... read more
Great bedside manner. Friendly, but most of all experienced and knowledgeable. I had three colonoscopies done and she has done them all. I always ask for Dr. Jackson.
I followed the prep instructions. Had not followed the 5 day before procedure because I booked 4 days before and wasn't told to read instructions right away. I eat a very high fiber diet. I called them and told them I hadn't followed instructions. They said it would be OK. For a miralax prep they only gave my half of the necessary dosage. So the colonoscopy couldn't be done because the prep was wrong. Not happy. Not going back. Sat in the waiting room forever; these days I's rather be outside. Horrible experience. Dr. Jackson performed my first colonoscopy. She was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient! We are working on trying to figure out my GI problems, and she has many ideas and suggestions. She has given me hope!
Dr. Jackson is an excellent physician and diagnostian--which is important when treating digestive issues. In my experience, Dr. Jackson gets things right that other doctors get wrong...
