will never use them again terrible service almost a month to get new glasses. first they lost my frame than they cut the lenses the wrong size charged insurance company for a frame i never received every time something went wrong it took an additional two weeks . Still no glasses I am very disappointed in Meijer Optical on 28th st. the only positive thing I can say is the Lady that runs the front is very polite and understanding. Very frustrating to work with. One time I scheduled a contacts exam took the day off work and came in to only the hearing doc being there and I even had the confirmation text for the eye exam on that day. Another time was given sample contacts to try, called back with the prescriptions I decided on and to fax that and my glasses prescription to Costco. Got to costco and they had an incorrect contact prescription and no glasses prescription. Tried to call Meijer who never answers the phone and it just rang forever per usual m... read more
I have been using for years, but unfortunately they are now nothing but a headache. After 7 months I am still waiting for my contacts (after receiving both expired contacts and then the incorrect strength). They've actually told me three separate times that they do not know what my prescription is - twice asking me what they were supposed to order. They are often unexpectedly closed, and on the rare occasion you can get a hold of them and they answer the phone - they say they will call you back. I can't imagine a worse exper... read more
My husband and me work at Meijer for 25 plus years and have called several times without a response..they say they will call back but then never do...I wouldn't recommend going to the optical ..
