Adequate but not exceptional. Felt like I was just a number....
Dr. Paulus performed hammer toe surgery 11 months ago and I am still in pain. At times it’s worse than pre surgery. At my last visit she seemed frustrated and just said “well, I’m not going to do another surgery”. I thought that was very strange and it caught me off guard…why would I want another surgery?? The real question is why am I still in pain from the first surgery. She offered me no solution for the pain. Didn’t order an mri or anything to try and see what’s wrong. Very disappointed.

I'm a 38 yr old Type 1 Diabetic whose had the disease since I was 11. I was seeing Wound Care and another foot dr for a wound I had on the bottom of my big toe. I got an infection in the wound and was sent to see a foot surgeon who immediately suggested to amputate 1/2 my toe and "just get it over with". Luckily I saw Dr. Paulus for a second opinion, and not only did she not amputate 1/2 my toe, she cleared out the infection and cut a tendon to get better range of motion with the toe.
