The past few weeks we have noticed our 9 month old kitten has been acting very different, trembling&losing his balance very easily. I took him in to a nearby vet who was not very much help at all&did not seem to take it seriously nor care. Therefore, i took him in to a different vet&they rushed us to the Medvet as it was an emergency. We were stressed about the money situation as we all know making any kind of vet trip is always pricey. As we showed up, they took our kitten immediately to the backroom and kept us updated. We took our rescued animal companion Bree to Medvet Worthington Ohio this past Friday April 27 2018 for a non-invasive Ultrasound. The good news was the scan showed a relatively healthy dog. Bad news? she DIED with a few hours of this procedure. My last memory of her was watching them drag her by her leash (she was walking too slowly?) back to their rooms where of course we lay folks are not allowed. She was a small dog a Pom. Too heavy to carry? They said it would take 20 minutes. An hour later we finally meet with the rad... read more

when your rating of horrible is 1/3 your rating of wonderful, and almost nobody is in between, doesn't that say something? they are predatory, they prey on the emotions of the moment. my daughter paid them about $1000 to 'treat' a cat with kidney failure. i have a friend who spent thousands having cancer treatments for a large dog who was almost 10. she lived for 8 more months, 1/2 of it recuperating, before again declining and succumbing to the cancer. our regular vet is the voice of reason, these people are just predat... read more
Three weeks ago our 11year old Shihtzu went through mouth cancer surgery. We consoluted with the vet that was going to do her surgery. Several times we expressed our concerns for her quality of life. We also made it very clear we were not selfish parents we didn't want our little girl to be miserable. The way he explained her surgery to us was in two weeks she would be feeling a lot better after surgery. It has been three weeks and our little girl is still eating and drinking from a syringe. When she went to Med Vet she had ... read more
Our kids are grown and gone and we view our pets as family. I came home to find my 19 year old Gato cat had collapsed. He was alert but could not stand up. He has had CRF for 5 years. Not being able to reach my personal vet, a friend took Gato and me to Medvet. They were compassionate and caring. With Dr. Smith's assessment, I made the decision to help Gato pass away. He was thorough and made sure I understood what was going to happen. I knew all too well. When I picked up his cremains a few days later, the staff was so cari... read more
One other thing I forgot to mention and then I'm done for ever with this. The two girl's that brought Buddy out to waiting in our jeep. My wife say's to them he looks like crap and one of the girl's sad you think so? We just hosed him down..WOW REALLY!! Never got his favorite blue blanket that I took up there to him..Girl's said they didn't know anything about a blue blanket!! My main concern now is Buddy's little brother that is five years old that is grieving himself to death!! I'm worried he won't come out of it!! I got... read more
