We had to take our dog to MedVet Akron, transferred her from VCA Great Lakes ER in Warrensville, Ohio. She had low blood sugar and needed to be on an IV dextrose drip overnight. VCA didn’t have a vet after 1:00 a.m. so they had us transport her to MedVet Akron. They charged us $3,000 before they even took her inside! We were not allowed inside because of Covid restrictions. MedVet Emergency made a nightmare even worse. Our 13 year old Aussie bloated around midnight. Recognizing the signs and knowing they only have a few hours before certain death, we rushed him to the Medvet Emergency in Copley, 20 minutes from our home.. Called in route and they were waiting for our arrival. Xray confirmed a flipped stomach. And here is were it became even more of a nightmare.
