So the claim is that they care so much about pets. When someone runs out of a simple Lasik prescription and went there on a Sunday to get a days supply just to get through the weekend and they refused. Even though they see the prescription bottles from that standard vet and they were the original place that diagnosed the heart issue to begin with. I was in a bad accident. My dog was ejected from the vehicle. MedVet doctor's and staff were amazing to my fur baby and my family. They were there for us when no one else could be. I highly recommend MedVet. Yes, they saved my dogs life.
I've had both good and bad experiences with MedVet. Unfortunately it seemed to depend on which vet was taking care of my pet. While two of the vets were very caring, competent and honest one of the vets wasn't honest with me and I spent a lot of money on a pet that never got well. He performed numerous tests which I wouldn't have had done had I known my pet's prognosis. Be sure to ask questions about the big picture - don't put your pet through unnecessary stress and pain if you don't know the chances of survival.
Un caring place , snotty employees ,no help to our sick dog . they would not listen to our concerns about our dog and that something was strange because our other dogs had it too all at the same time . They did not seem to want to find what was wrong and sent us home with pain pills only .. . I took my 7 week old puppy in with a broken leg and I was not aloud to go with my dog. She was scared and screaming and they just took her away and started working on her without me knowing what they were doing. I was told I could not go with my dog because dogs have privacy rights.....so I asked to see the HIPAA privacy agreement, they don't have one. I had taken my cat for eye condition eval, the doctor prescribed a medication and when I tried to have the prescription filled by VetRx they refused to fax the information and told me the doctor no longer works there, not even an apology, they recommend to go to another vet for an apt!!! I paid almost 200 dollars for this eval. Very poor service and office staff.
I hated this place. No one introduced themselves as to who they were when talking to me and giving me info so I always had to ask. I thought the woman with tattoos on her chest and wrists was the vet tech but it was the veterinarian herself. I didn't know what was wrong with my dog and it turns out they didn't either yet they brought up the word "cancer" and tried to play on my fears and guilt me into spending lots of money on testing.
