Unethical and incompetent would be the best two words to describe the quality of service provided by Medvet. I was lied to about the prognosis of my cat named Gabriel from the receptionist who had no idea what she was talking about almost spending thousands of dollars as I thought Gabriel would have a chance to live. The truth was, the lab results of his potassium levels represented Gabriel was going into kidney failure and was in critical condition. I almost suffered the financial burden and heartache of Gabriel living only... read more
We took our English bulldog there one evening after a seizure. Our vet had been seeing her and giving her medication for seizures. She ended up being filled with cancer and that was why she was having breathing problems and seizures. We had to say goodbye to her in our arms as they gave her the shot that took her to her rainbow bridge. They were very compassionate during the difficult decision and made what was one of our families worst loss. They waited for our sons to arrive and let us spend her last moments with all of us... read more
I wish it was possible to give less than a single star. This place is completely ridiculous. We took our great dane pup here after he had fallen and was in severe pain. They took an x-ray and almost completely missed that his leg was broken. They went and took another x-ray and said that it was broken and he needed an orthopedic surgery right away. We asked if a splint or cast would be suitable instead since surgery was over three grand. The doc said no way he had to have surgery. We told her that we would wait until in the ... read more
Do not use this Vet if you value your dogs life!! Took my dog in for surgery and she had enlarged lymph node. Before performing dental surgery, the surgeon had the oncologist pull an aspirate of the lymph node. I was told the node was "reactive" (i.e. not cancer) just so I would continue with the surgery and spend $$$. Without my knowledge the aspirate was sent to a pathologist and came back as Lymphoma (i.e. CANCER). Did anyone at Circle City bother to CALL ME or send me the test results to tell me my dog had a terminal ill... read more
We took our female toy yorkie here for acute care of dehydration, nausea and diarrhea. The doctor was inpatient, insensitive and had terrible bedside manner. He didn't take the time to listen and continually talked over us. He diagnosed her with VDS, "veterinary deficiency syndrome". He stated our dog was underweight and needed a work up. (She was 5lbs while dehydrated which is within her weight guidelines of 4-7 lbs) he made us feel like CRIMINALS for having an "underweight" dog. We've had the dog for only a few months and ... read more
Extremely expensive for nothing! Exam rooms are very uninviting. They take your pet away and you do not see him again UNTIL! you pay all your fees during the check out. X-rays were very expensive and conclusion was incorrect. Another emergency care I took my dog the very next day found an obstruction in his colon. While medvet kept telling me there was nothing wrong with him.
This place is a joke! Hour plus wait, they weren't busy. Your pet is taken to a back room away from you. They run tests you don't ask for. $150 to walk in the door. (add $33 for some tech fee or something ridiculous) and then sit back and wait for your "estimate"! Prepare to get "bent over". $400 for an unconfirmed UTI "diagnosis' Absurd..
I was charged over $3000 for vet services for an issue that my dog didn't seem to actually have. Be prepared to have a credit card available with a high limit of spending because that is how you and your pet will be treated!
I brought my St Bernard from ky. About a 2 hr ride. Worth every trip I made. My dog had days to weeks to live. I have a great local vet that got me in up there. My 2 Dr's were the best. I went there with the chance of them being able to help him. They were able to perform the surgery back in july. They had to remove a tumor from his mouth. He lost the top left half of his jaw. It's November now you would never no what he has been thru. There were 2 Dr's involved with the surgery. Probably 2 of the greatest men I will ever me... read more
