I scheduled an appointment to discuss conservative approaches for managing my significant scoliosis as I age. Unfortunately, the physician I saw appeared to have very limited knowledge, if any, of the condition. I was diagnosed over 50 years ago, have been seen by numerous orthopedists over the years, and actively keep up with the latest research. Recently, I completed physical therapy (PT) after my second total knee replacement (TKR); Randy was my PT. He is a seasoned therapist with a great deal of experience treating patients with a range of diagnoses, especially TKRs. I was very fortunate to have had Randy as my therapist for both TKRs. We haven't gotten to get to this hospital, but we were supposed to have been there. We had been medically accepted, only to have the ball dropped twice and the last possible minute. My active duty military brother had a stroke while in Florida, and is ready for rehab and was accepted by a doctor at Walter Reed and this facility. After all the medical transport was coordinated, the night before, the facility changed their minds and claimed that the continuous antibiotic was not ok for acceptance.
