Had to have EKG done on the quick for upcoming operation as requested by doctor. Lots of Urgent Care facilities in our area, but have had dealings with MedStar Hospital in past, so went online and got an appointment within 1.5 hours of contacting our local MedStar Urgent Care. Check in was smooth, though had to still fill out some paperwork even after completing info online. We had an appointment and still waited almost an hour to be seen. Everyone who came in after us was seen first. I realize priority dictates, but having hard time all 4 people that came in after us were a priority.
I don’t believe in making appointments for Urgent Care’s. Primary care drs or minute clinics are for appointment making. Urgent care should see the patients in order of arrival. 1 person left as their wait must have been longer than ours. Another person, while in the room open the door to see if they forgot her she was in there for some time. If you are running a drs office then don’t advertise as urgent care. An hour and a half wait even with a scheduled appointments. What’s the purpose of scheduling an appointment when you wait this long. There is nothing urgent about this place. Better off going somewhere else!
