Dealing with Medshield customer service has been consistently frustrating and unprofessional. This is now the second time I’ve had to deal with consultants who sound completely disengaged, unwilling to assist, and at times outright dismissive. The tone and attitude from certain agents are unacceptable, especially when handling important patient benefit queries and authorisations. Worst of all, consultations are constantly confused and uneducated about what the scheme provides. It’s honestly a pain to deal with.
I have been with Medshield for about 10 years, if not more and have been very impressed. They usually pay more than what other medical aids seem to pay and they are more affordable. I have been hospitalised a few times and have mostly received great service from Medshield. I highly recommend them.
