During my consultation with Dr. Salma Ahmed at Medic First, I felt unwelcome from the start. There was no greeting or basic check-in. When she called my name and saw me, the very first thing she did was looked at me from head to toe and as we kept walking she was talking in Arabic to another patient sitting. When my blood pressure was taken, I was asked to remove the cuff myself, without assistance. First time I went, I seen a female Russian Dr. I was there for a pap smear- I've previously dealt with cervical cancer. She denied my request & said it wasn't due. I explained my history, & told her that I thought the issue had returned. She barked at me like a dog. I told her I was more than happy to pay for the test, because I "wasn't due for a pap smear". I took my toddler for her 18 month shot. The GP, Dr Mozz Rasheed, didn't care to even check her green book, didn't measure her weight or height, which is important as an 18-month milestone. he said the nurse will do that and the nurse also didn;t care and didn't do that. Apart from the fact the the nurse wasn't the best at doing the shots. From my experience, the nurses do a much better job for vaccination at the council rather than a clinic.
